Spring 2023 - GigaJam
This project was completed for a creative jam within 36 short hours. Our team was only four people, so completing a project of this scope was pretty challenging; in the end I'm really proud of how this turned out. In the jam this was created for, this project won Best in Time-Based Media and Third place overall.
Although the rig is pretty small (essentially just two separate IK spline chains for the spine and tail, plus a few joints in the feet), it's the first rig that I have entirely used a Python script to build. In that regard, I'm pretty proud of how my code turned out (despite it all being completed within a six-hour window), and I managed to build a pretty fun rig for myself and our other animator to use.
I was responsible for the initial concept, the character design, the character rig, and the second half of the animation.
